Mozartfest 2010

In 2010 Thomas Hengelbrock and his Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble will open the Mozartfest as "artists in residence". In the course of the following weeks other classical music stars like Janine Jansen and Julian Rachlin, accompanied by the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the spirited Italian orchestra "Il giardino armonico", the exeptional clarinetist Martin Fröst performing with the "Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen", the cellist Sol Gabetta and the "Kammerorchester Basel" as well as the "Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks" will be our guests at the Würzburg Residenz.
The famous "night musics" taking place in the romantic atmosphere of the illuminated court gardens at the Würzburg Residenz have already become legendary open-air events.
The range of performances at the Mozartfest is completed with chamber music matinees, crossover projects at special venues and musical-literary events in wine cellars with readings of known actors.
